SOUTH BEND - Violet M. Gadbury, 93, passed away Sunday,
August 31, 2008, in her home. Violet was born on February 4,
1915, in South Bend, to William and Anna (Holfeld) Dorschner.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters,
Elizabeth Tatham, Margaret Thornton and Anna Altman;
and four brothers, Roy, John, Joseph and Charles Robinson. On
June 19, 1937, in South Bend, she married Karl Gadbury, who
preceded her in death on January 14, 1991. Surviving are her
sister, Marie Friedman of Mishawaka, and a brother,
William Dorschner of La Puente, CA. She was a lifetime area
resident. Violet along with her husband Karl were owners of
Butler Building and Sales before they retired in 1958.
As per Violet's wishes, there will be no
visitation. A graveside service will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday,
September 9th, at Highland Cemetery, South Bend. Hahn Funeral
Home, Mishawaka, is in charge of handling the arrangements.
