ELKHART — Patsy J. Gabbard, 72, of Morehouse Avenue, died at 9:30 p.m. on Friday, May 10, in the Elkhart Rehabilitation Center.

Mrs. Gabbard was born in Owensburg, Ind., on Oct. 12, 1929, the daughter of Rex and Lois M. (Jackson) Byers. She married Andress Gabbard in February 1947. He is deceased. She was also preceded in death by two daughters, Lois E. Sherow and Donna S. Sylvia.

She is survived by two daughters, Patricia A. Niles of South Bend, Ind., and Brenda K. Wilks of Elkhart, Ind.; and by 16 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Gabbard was a homemaker.

Friends called from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday in the Chapel Hill Funeral Home, Osceola, Ind., where services will be at 2 p.m. today. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
