Mrs. G. L. Futterknecht

Mrs. Godfrey L. Futterknecht, 65, of 706 N. Indiana Ave., died at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday in Elkhart General Hospital, Elkhart.  She was born in Mishawka and on Sept. 6, 1921, as Edith Wachs, she married Mr. Futterknecht on St. Joseph’s Church here.  Surviving besides her husband are one son, Ralph J. and a daughter, Mrs. Leland Brady, both of Mishawaka; three grandchildren; three brothers, Alfred A. Wachs, of Mishawaka, Orval Wachs, of Cassopolis, and Harold G. Wachs, of Los Angeles, and one sister, Miss Gertrude Wachs of Mishawaka.  Mrs. Futterknecht was a member of St. Joseph’s Church and the Rosary Society of that church.  She also was a member of Columbian Circle, Daughters of Isabella and the American Legion Auxiliary, Post 161.  Friends may call in the Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home after 7 p.m. today and until the funeral services at 9 a.m. Friday in St. Joseph’s Church.  Very Rev. Curt A. Suelzer, pastor, will officiate and burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
