Telford Funnell,
82, of 507 S. 36th St., died Saturday at 5:10pm in
Meridian Nursing Center-Cardinal. He retired in 1972 from
Grand Trunk Railroad, following 45 years of service.
He was born October
9, 1908, in Mishawaka and he lived in the area all of his life.
On October 29, 1927, in Mishawaka, he married Ruth Elizabeth
Brittain. She died in 1985. Surviving are three
daughters, Jacqueline Myers of Osceola, Betty Ditsch of Los
Angeles and Beverly Jean Fager of Elkhart; two sons, Donald and
Larry, both of South Bend; 17 grandchildren; 36 great
grandchildren; a great great granddaughter; and two brothers,
Ellsworth of Niles and Levi Rufus of Port Richey FL
Services will be
Wednesday at 1pm in Hollis-Orvis-Palmer Funeral Home, 2528
Mishawaka Ave. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Friends may
call Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm in the funeral home.
