Alfred C. Fujawa, 85, of South Bend,
passed away on Thursday morning, Nov. 23, 2000, in his residence.
He was born on July 31, 1915, in South Bend to Gilbert and Anna
Fujawa. On May 27, 1937, he married the former Lois M. Wedel.
She died in 1998. Also preceding him was a great-grandchild,
Jacob Wright; and a brother, Stanley. Surviving are his
two sons, Gilbert (Sandra) Fujawa and Gary (Ginger) Fujawa of
South Bend; grandchildren, Adam Fujawa of South Bend, Todd
(Brandy) Fujawa of Buchanan, Mich., Julie (Art) Eslick,
Jill (Darrell) Felling of Terre Haute, Ind., James (Donis)
Fujawa of Mishawaka, Ind., and Jeffrey (Lisa) Fujawa of St.
Louis, Mo.; great- grandchildren, Eddie Felling, Tyler and Mathew
Eslick, Jessica Fujawa, Sarah and Savanah Fujawa, Madison Fujawa
and Roma VanLake; a sister, Bernice Leda of South
Bend; and a niece, Gail (Mike) Coon. Mr. Fujawa retired
after 45 years from Bendix Corp., working in purchasing and
quality control.
There is no visitation and a private family service will be held at a later date. Cremation at the MICHIANA CREMATORY. The WELSHEIMER FUNERAL HOME assisted the family with arrangements.
