Ruth I. Fritz

June 7, 1911-March 12, 1995

SOUTH BEND - Ruth I. Fritz, 83, of South 33rd Street, died at 5:51 a.m. Sunday in Healthwin Hospital. Mrs. Fritz was born June 7, 1911, in South Bend and was a lifelong resident. On March 26, 1937, in South Bend, as Ruth I. Summers Gill, she married Edgar F. Fritz. He survives with a daughter, Cheryl Waiz of Jeffersonville, Ind.; two sons, Terry of South Bend and Keith of Boston; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Betty Andrick of South Bend; and a brother, James Summers Gill of Melbourne, Fla.

Private memorial services will be at a later date. Cremation will take place, with burial in Riverview Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Forest G. Hay Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
