Oct. 12, 1970 - April 15, 2010MISHAWAKA - Scott Freitag, 39, passed away on Thursday, April 15, in Hospice House, South Bend, after an illness. Scott was born on October 12, 1970, in South Bend, to Joseph Jr. and Diana (Barbour) Freitag. Scott was preceded in death by his mother, Diana, on February 15, 2008, and his grandmother, Mildred Barbour. Surviving are his father, Joseph of Mishawaka; stepsisters, Kim Fine and Krisy Fine, both of Mishawaka; brothers, Adam Freitag of South Bend, Ryan Freitag of Osceola and Troy Freitag of Mishawaka; a grandmother, Florence Freitag of South Bend; cousins, Kasey and Charles Matherly, both of Mishawaka; two aunts, Sue Barbour of Mishawaka and Marge Barbour of Tampa, FL; two aunts, Carol Mary Lou Freitag and Donna Freitag, both of South Bend; and three uncles, Stanford (Sharon) Barbour Jr. of Osceola, Donald (Linda) Barbour of Mishawaka and Thomas Freitag of South Bend. He was a waiter at Tippecanoe Place in South Bend. Scott was a loving and caring person. A friend to everyone he met. Visitation with Scott's family and friends will be held from 10:00 a.m. to noon on Tuesday, April 20, in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka. A memorial service will be at noon in the funeral home, with Pastor Warren Kirkwood of Albright United Methodist Church officiating. Inurnment will take place at Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka.
