Emily Anne Fraatz

January 26, 1915 – September 1, 1990

Emily Anne Fraatz, 75, of 3030 Rue Renoir, South Bend, died at 2:40pm Saturday in her home after an illness.  She retired in 1977 after 33 years at the University of Notre Dame.

Born January 26, 1915, in Mishawaka, she was a lifelong resident.  In 1977, in St Joseph Church, Mishawaka, as Emily Lipowski, she married Vincent H. Fraatz, who survives, along with her mother, Rose Anne Lipowski of Mishawaka.  She was a member of the church, the Rosary Society and Catholic Order of Foresters.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm Tuesday in Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home, where a rosary will be said at 3pm.
