SOUTH BEND - Deric L. Foulks, 39, of South Bend, Indiana, passed over on Saturday, August 23, 2008. Deric was born May 10, 1969, in South Bend, Indiana, where he was a lifelong resident. He attended Riley High School. Deric loved family more than anything and would do anything in his power for them. He had also recently found another hobby that he enjoyed very much and that was his "Cadillac." He could be found every single day giving it a nice shine. Deric is survived by his parents, Frankie and Brenda Moffitt, and Willie Foulks; two daughters, Nicole Renee Foulks and Deidra Ann Foulks; one grandchild, Dionte' Lee Carrell; two brothers, Frankie Moffitt; all of South Bend; and Wade Foulks of Fort Wayne, Indiana; two sisters, Tamara Moffitt of Farmington Hills, Michigan, and Dennea Moffitt of South Bend; one stepsister, Makeisha Wilson Moffitt of Elkhart, Indiana; paternal grandmother, Evelyna Louise Moffitt of Niles, Michigan; paternal grandfather, l.D. Moffitt of Benton Harbor, Michigan; paternal grandfather, Willie Foulks; his best friend, Eric Doaks, and his special friend, Laquita Albridge, all of South Bend; along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Deric was preceded in death by one brother, Jeremy Foulks; three uncles, O.C. Peterson Jr., Dennis Peterson and Tony Peterson; and a dear friend, Brian Franklin.

Funeral services for Mr. Deric L. Foulks will be held at noon on Saturday, August 30, 2008, in Jesus is the Rock Church, 52248 Laurel Road, and burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to services in the church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Alford's Mortuary.
