Anthony Fotia

MISHAWAKA - After an illness of two years, Anthony Fotia, 83, of 907 Locust Street, DIED AT 7:30 P.M. Tuesday in his home. He was born in Riggio Calerbo, Plati, Italy and came to this country in 1900. He moved to Mishawaka in 1923 from New Jersey.

 

He married Mary De Marco in Italy in 1898 and she died in 1951. He had been employed by the Ball Band olant in Mishawaka for 24 years before he retired in 1946. Surviving are three sons, Dominick A., Frank A. and Joseph R. Fotia, all of Mishawaka; three daughters, Mrs. Ross Perri, Mrs. Frank Zappia, and Mrs. George Wullaert, all of Mishawaka; 27 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.

 

Friends may call in the Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home after noon Thursday. Mr Fotia was a member of St. Monica’s Catholic Church and the Di Loreto Club.

Funeral services for Anthony Fotia who died Tuesday will be at 9 a.m. Saturday in St. Monica’s Catholic Church. Rev. Leo A. Hoffman, pastor, will officiate and burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
