Robert E. Foster

LAKEVILLE - Robert E. Foster, 58, of 315 E. Monroe St., died at 8 a.m. 
Friday in his home. He had been employed at AM General for 18 years. Mr. Foster 
was born Aug. 3, 1928, in Paducah, Ky., and moved to Lakeville in 1956 from 
Waynesburg, Ky. On Jan 7, 1950, in Corinth, Miss., he married Betty Tomlin. They 
were divorced. On May 18, 1968, in South Bend, he married Ruby O. Correll.
She  died March 31, 1987. Surviving are four daughters, Kathy Foster and Judy
Loupee,  both of Niles, and Janice Emerick and Connie Gerick, both of Mishawaka;
a  stepdaughter, Martha Smith of LaPaz; three stepsons, Roy G. Correll of
Pace,  Miss. Marion Correll of Edwardsburg and Bruce L. Correll, stationed with
the  U.S. armed forces in Panama; 23 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and
a  sister Betty Ann Ricketts of Savannah, Tenn.
     Combined services for Mr. and Mrs. Foster will be  at 1 p.m. Sunday in
Palmer Funeral Service. Burial will be in Eastlawn Cemetery,  North Liberty.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 today in the funeral  home. He was a
member of Local 5 of the United Auto Workers union. Memorial  contributions may
be made to any charity.
