Phyllis T. Forsberg (Nov. 29, 1932 - Oct. 26, 2006).

Phyllis Theresa Forsberg, 73, passed away peacefully at home on Crawford Court Thursday, October 26, 2006, surrounded by her loving family.

Phyllis was born on November 29, 1932, to Stephen and Cecelia (Mikula) Danielowicz. On May 10, 1952, she was united in marriage to Edward W. Forsberg (deceased). They had five loving children together.

Phyllis' surviving children are Gregory W. Forsberg of Mishawaka, Charisse M. (Bill) Prasolowicz of Westfield, WI, Bradford E. Forsberg of Mishawaka, Brian L. (Susan) Forsberg of South Bend and Lucielle (Jon) Klaudusz of South Bend; sisters, Lucielle Yanez of Farmington Hills, MI, Delores (Viril) Foss of Champlin, MN, and Marianne (Gene) Kirby of Rochester, IN; and eight grandchildren, Steve, Timothy, Lindsay, Joshua, Stephanie, Bjorn, Zachary and Evan.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Virginia Harsanyi, Clara Prentkowski, Harriet Ruszkowski and Cecelia Andert; and brothers, Stephen Danielowicz and Adrian Danielowicz.

She retired from the St. Joseph County Recorders Office in 2000. Phyllis worked for many years in the private nursing field. She greatly appreciated all the helpful nurses that took care of her through Hospice.

She enjoyed sewing, reading, playing cards and watching television. Phyllis will be greatly missed by her family and her two canine companions, Cece and Scooter, who would be at her side waiting for a daily treat.

She loved to laugh and joke and talk about favorite pastimes, loved her family and close friends, and always put herself before others. During her last days she felt she would be greeted by her deceased loved ones and be joyful in seeing them again in heaven.

Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 4, 2006, in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 S. Kemble Avenue. Friends may call one-half hour prior to services in the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to The Center for Hospice and Palliative Care.
