Robert J Foor

June 19, 1918 – May 3, 1989

Services for Robert J. Foor, 70, of 1631 Randolph St., who died at 9:18am Wednesday in St Joseph’s Medical Center, will be at 11am Friday in Kaniewski & Sons Funeral Home.  Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.

Friends may call from 7 to 9pm today and one hour before services Friday in the funeral home, where Moose Lodge 58 will conduct services at 7pm today.

Mr Foor retired in 1982 as a grinder for the Torrington Co after 40 years of service. 

He was born June 19, 1918, in Kokomo and lived in South Bend since 1955, coming from LaPorte.  On June 24, 1939, in Kingsbury, he married Kathryn Newman, who survives.  Also surviving are a son, Robert Lee of Alexandria VA; a granddaughter; and a sister, Jean Beach of New Buffalo.

He was secretary for 25 years of the Beacon Commercial League B, was South Bend Bowling Association Secretary of the Year, past governor of LaPorte Moose Lodge 492 and a member of Moose Lodge 58 and Legion of the Moose, where he earned the Fellowship Degree.  He was a veteran of WW II.
