SOUTH BEND – John
Derbin, 60, of 53025 Oakmont Drive West, was dead on arrival
early today at Memorial Hospital, after suffering an apparent
heart attack at his home. He was a construction administrator for
the Hickey PACE Company. He was born Sept 29, 1920 in Mishawaka
and lived his lifetime in this area. On March 4, 1944 in South
Bend, he married Jean Pickerl, who survives. Also
surviving are a daughter, Miss Janice Elaine Derbin, and a son
James, both at home; a sister Mrs. Ann Marchi of
Mishawaka; and two brothers, Michael and Charles, both of
Mishawaka.
Friends may call Monday in the Welscheimer North Funeral
Chapel, where services will be Tuesday. Burial will be in
Edwardsburg Cemetery.
