HARRY L. DEMSKE

December 17, 1911 – March 9, 1985

 

Harry L. Demske, 73, of 2021 Inglewood Place, died at 4:47pm Saturday in St Joseph’s Medical Center.  He retired in 1974 after 42 years of service in the engineering department at the Bendix Corp.

 

Born December 17, 1911, in South Bend, he lived here all his life.  On May 25, 1935, he married Florence A. Wroblewski, who survives.  He also is survived by a daughter, Kathy A. Need of Frankfort IN; two sons, David L. of Columbia MD, and Ronald D. of Visalia CA; and four grandchildren.

 

Services will be at 10am Wednesday in Holy Cross Catholic Church.  Entombment will be in Highland Cemetery.  Friends may call from 2 to 9pm Tuesday in the Kaniewski & Sons Funeral Home.

 

Mr. Demske was a member of the Harvest House and Ushers Club, both at Holy Cross, served as a Boy Scout leader for nine years, and was a Third-Degree member of the Knights of Columbus Santa Maria Council 553.  A parish wake service will be conducted at 7pm Tuesday and the rosary will be recited by the Knights of Columbus at 7:30pm Tuesday in the funeral home.
