South Bend, IN - Margaret Y. Demien,
74 years old, residing on Longfellow Avenue, South Bend, passed
away at 5:45 P.M. on Thursday, December 28, 2000 at the Regency
Place of South Bend from natural causes. Mrs. Demien was born on
July 30, 1926 in Erie, MI to the late Frank and Helen (Horvath)
Mihocza. She had been a lifelong area resident.
On May 10, 1947 in South Bend, she married
Robert C. Demien who survives. Along with her husband of 53
years, Robert, survivors include one daughter, Cynthia Hansen
of Greenfield, WI; one son, Terry R. Demien of Gerrardtown, WV;
one grandson, two step-grandchildren, one
step-great-granddaughter; and one brother, Frank Mihocza of South
Bend. Mrs. Demien was formerly employed with Uniroyal Corporation
in Mishawaka and retired from Burcliff Manufacturing in
Mishawaka.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2001 at the Palmer Funeral Home, 2528 Mishawaka Avenue, South Bend, IN. Rev. Don Francis will officiate. Graveside services and burial will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, South Bend. Friends may visit with the family from 2-6 P.M. on Monday, January 1st at the Palmer Funeral Home, South Bend.
