Lucy DeMeyer

Jan. 16, 1907 – May 8, 1931

Embolism occurring 10 days after an operation for appendicitus, caused the sudden death of Lucy DeMeyer, 24, in St. Joseph Hospital, Mishawaka, Friday evening. She was born Jan. 16, 1907 in Osceola and had been a lifetime resident of this community.

 

As Miss Lucy Rodts, she married Octoaf DeMeyer, June 7, 1926. They made their home in Bremen. In addition to her husband, one daughter, Alice is at home, and the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alfons Rodts wive in Woodland. Three sisters and two brothers survive. They are; Mrs. Carl Smith of South Bend; the Misses Alvina and Erma Rodts, Raymond and Emiel Rodts, all of Woodland.

 

The body may be viewed in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Alfons Rodts, in Woodland, Sunday. Services will be held in St. Bavo’s Catholic Church, time to be announced.
