SOUTH BEND – Miss Mary Ann Deblase,
62, of 810 E. Bronson, died at 2:15 p.m. Friday in Memorial
Hospital after a year’s illness. She was born on Nov. 10,
1916 in Chicago, and had lived in South Bend for two months
coming from Providence, R.I. She is survived by four sisters,
Mrs. Ann Fotia, with whom she lived, Mrs. Katherine Fotia,
Miss Santina DeBlase, and Miss Christine DeBlase, all of South
Bend; four brothers, Mike DeBlase of Dowagiac, Sam DeBlase of
Niles, Joe and Steve DeBlase, both of South Bend; three nieces
and a nephew.
Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Monday in St.
Matthew’s Catholic Cathedral, with Bishop Joseph R. Crowley,
rector, officiating. Entombment will be in Highland Cemetery
Mausoleum. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from
2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Guisinger Colonial Chapel,
where the rosary will be recited at 4:30 p.m. Sunday.
