SOUTH BEND – August DeBlase, 908
W. LaSalle Avenue, died at 10:15 p.m. in his residence. He was
born in Italy in 1876 and came here about 50 years ago from
Europe.
He married Mamie Gagonia, who
survives with a daughter, Ann; two sons, Anthony and August Jr.;
a brother Stephen, all of South Bend, and a sister, Mrs. Mary Martino
of Chicago.
Friends may call after 7 p.m. today in the
Hickey Funeral Home. Services will be at 9 a.m. Thursday in Holy
Cross Catholic Church, Rev. Walter Higgins CSC, pastor,
officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. The rosary will
be recited at 7:30 p.m. today in the funeral home.
Editor: There is a difference on spelling of the maiden name
of his wife, between this obit and that of his wife.
