Theodore O. Dean

Theodore O. ''Tod'' Dean, 83, of
State Road 2, died at 12:37 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 29, in Memorial
Hospital, South Bend. He was born July 14, 1913, in Etna Green,
Ind. He had lived in the area most of his life, coming from Etna
Green.
On April 20, 1935, in Plymouth, he married
Martha Mae Sherer. She survives along with a daughter,
Dessie Marie Yancey of Elkhart, a son and his wife, Robert
E. (Fay) Dean of Plymouth, Ind. Also surviving are 10
grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and one
great-great-grandchild. Three brothers, Paul, Jim and Ralph, all
preceded him in death.
Mr. Dean retired from the Bendix Corporation
in 1973. He was a member of the Westside church of Christ, The
American Association of Retired Persons and Bendix U.A.W. Local

Services will be Wednesday, Oct. 2 at 11
a.m. in the Forest G. Hay Funeral Home, 1201 S. Michigan St.
Minister Ed Marang will officiate. Internment will follow in Oak
Hill Cemetery, Plymouth, Ind. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8
p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be
made to the church or to the Michiana Christian Service Camp.
