MISHAWAKA - Irene L. Dean, 80, of
Denver, Ind., formerly of Mishawaka, died at 12:26 a.m. Friday in
Dukes Memorial Hospital, Peru, Ind.
Mrs. Dean was a nurse for the Visiting Nurse
Association of St. Joseph County for 20 years. She was born March
26, 1913, in Mishawaka.
On Aug. 17, 1933, in Mishawaka, as Irene L. Frederick,
she married Thomas Dean. He died June 6, 1968. Surviving are two
daughters, Marilyn Burns of Denver, Ind., and Jackie Roberts
of Elkhart; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was a member of Denver United Methodist Church.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Bubb
Funeral Chapel North, 3910 North Main St. Burial will be in
Fairview Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday in
the funeral home.
