James Albert Carrico

March 2, 1907August 13, 1978

 

James Albert Carrico, 71, of 52050 Prescott, died at 6:15am Sunday in Lorretto KY.  Carrico was vacationing in Lorretto when he became ill and died.  He was retired from Fabricated Steel Products.

 

Carrico was born on March 2, 1907, in Wraywick KY and moved to South Bend in 1966 from Lebanon KY.  On November 22, 1941, in South Bend, he married Luella C. Elick, who died in April 1973.  Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Fred Schlowtter of Romulus MI and Judy Carrico of South Bend; two sons, Edward L. of South Bend and James A. Jr. of Elkhart; a grandchild; three sisters, Mrs. Rose Valovich and Mrs. Aline Schuppa, both of Lake Station IN, Mrs. Alma Miles of Lorretto and four brothers, Francis and John Ed, both of South Bend, Roy of Niles and Robert I of Buck Creek IN

 

Services will be at 9:30am Wednesday at Christ the King Catholic Church with Rev. Joseph H. Fey, CSC pastor, officiating.  Burial will be at St Joseph Valley Memorial Park.  Friends may call from 6 to 9pm today and from 8:30am until 9:15am Wednesday at Welsheimer North Chapel, 52803 US 31 N.  Carrico was a member of the church where he was associated with the Holy Names Society.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
