MISHAWAKA - Douglas Gerald Carrico, 46, passed away on Saturday, February 3, in South Bend. Doug was born on February 3, 1961, in Mishawaka, as the son of Louis “Jerry” and Janet (Catalino) Carrico. He was preceded in death by his father on October 28, 2004.

On February 24, 1989, in South Bend, he married the former Janine Wagner. Doug is survived by his loving wife, Janine; a son, Lucas of Mishawaka; his mother, Janet Carrico of Mishawaka; sister, Toni Carrico of Mishawaka; brother, Darrin (Erika) Carrico of San Diego, CA; his nephews, Brock (Nicki) Scutchfield and Skyler Carrico; and by his in-laws, James and Emily Wagner of Mishawaka.

Doug was employed as a machinist at F&F Screw Machine Products in Elkhart. He was a Mishawaka High School graduate. He loved fishing and bird hunting and spending time with his son, Lucas. He also enjoyed laughing and having a good time with his friends.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, February 9th, in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka. Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, February 10, in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to benefit Lucas Carrico.
