Charles L. Carlley

September 9, 1907 – April 25, 1974

Charles L. Carlley, 66, of 228 Wildemere Dr., died at 7:30am today in St Joseph’s Hospital after a four month illness.  Mr. Carlley was a real estate saleman with Cressy & Everett Realtors, Inc.

Born September 9, 1907, in Hazen AR, he had lived here 17 years, coming from Grand Rapids.  On July 11, 1931, in Detroit, he married Annabel Couture, who survives.  Also surviving are a daughter, Charlotte Ann of Indianapolis; three sisters, Mrs. John Lusk of Aberdeen MS, Mrs. Harold Riggan of Corning AR and Mrs. James Chamberlain of Pittsburgh PA.

Friends may call from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9pm Friday in the Hickey Funeral Home, 3516 E Jefferson Blvd.  Services will be at 11am Saturday in St Anthony dePadua Catholic Church.  Rev. Denis K. Blank, assistant pastor, will officiate.  Burial will be in St Joseph Valley Memorial Park.  Mrs. Carlley was a member of Lodge 235, BPOE and the Holy Name Society of ST Anthony’s Church.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. Anthony’s Church or to St Joseph’s Hospital.
