SOUTH BEND - Benny Cannady, 55, of 120 Elm St., died at 7:05 a.m. Saturday in St. Joseph's Medical Center after an illness. Mr. Cannady was a former employee of the Chicago Tribune. He was born July 13, 1939, at Greenwood, Miss., and lived in this area since 1983, coming from Chicago. Surviving are two sisters, Bertha Cannady of St. Louis and Sherlean Love of Indianapolis; and a foster brother, Rev. Walter Willis of South Bend.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Clark Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
