Paul Campoli

MISHAWAKA – Paul Campoli, aged 43, of 2305 Lincoln Way West, Mishawaka, was instantly killed Tuesday night when the truck in which he was riding was struck by a New York Central passenger train at the Somerset Avenue crossing in Mishawaka. Mr. Campoli was born Nov. 19, 1893, in Italy, and moved to this community in 1910.

 

He was married March 19, 1921 to Lena Frosi, who survives. Surviving also are his mother, Mrs. Sistucha Campoli of Italy; three sons, Cosmo, Peter and George, at home; three daughters, Mary Jane, Julia and Ada Marie, at home; two brothers, Tony and Vallimana of Italy, and a sister, Valentina of Italy.

Members of Mishawaka Post No. 161, American Legion will serve as pallbearers for Mr. Campoli when funeral services are conducted at 9 a.m. Friday in St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Mishawaka. They are Maurice Moerman, John Makar, Glenn Worden, Richard Mason, Patrick F. Curran and Cyriel Auwenrogge. Rev. George J. Lauer, Pastor, will officiate and burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Mishawaka. The legion post will have charge of services at the grave.
