SOUTH BEND - Warren James "Red" Cahall, 89, of South Bend, died on Wednesday April 14, 2010 at The Milton Home. Warren was born in Jasonville, Indiana on December 24, 1920 to John and Callie (Faught) Cahall. He married the former Anna Louise Neal on May 13, 1938. She preceded him in death in February 2001. Also preceding him were his parents, sisters Mary Francis Bell and Marjorie Malicot, a brother Donald Cahall and a grandson Scott Cahall on May 5, 2007. Mr. Cahall is survived by a son, Jack Cahall and his wife, Robin Cahall of South Bend; two grandsons, Gabe and Seth Cahall; a brother, Howard Cahall of Plainfield, Indiana; and a sister-in-law Betty Shouse of Vincinnes, Indiana. He served his country with the Marines during WWII in the Pacific Theater receiving battle stars for Guam, Marianes Islands, Iwo Jima and Volcano Islands. He was honorably discharged in 1946. Warren retired from Honeywell/Bendix following thirty-three years of service. He was a 33rd Degree Mason, and a member of The Scottish Rite. In earlier years he played baseball with the Indianapolis Indians with the Semi Pro League. He enjoyed playing golf and did so until the age of 85. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday April 18, 2010 at Bubb Funeral Chapel from 2-4 pm followed by a Masonic Service at 4 pm. A funeral service will be held at 11 am Monday at the funeral home. Burial with full Military Honors will be conducted at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park in Granger.
