SOUTH BEND - Jack H. Cady, formerly of South Bend, IN, died on September 21, 2008, in Rochester, NY. He was a committed husband and father, generous neighbor, devoted golfer and amateur gardener. He was born in White Pigeon, Michigan, in 1918, Jack met and married Emmy Lou in 1944 when they were both in the Army at Fort Knox. He spent a 40 year career at the South Bend Supply Company, retiring as vice president at the age of 60 to give more time to his other love, golf. Jack is survived by his wife, Emmy Lou; daughter, Jacqueline Cady (Thomas Frey); sister, Phyllis Gray; granddaughter, Sarah Cady Frey; and Tom's children, Matthew, Kathryn and Jennifer Frey.

A memorial service will be held at 11 AM Thursday, Sept. 25th, in the Community Congregational Church, 19671 Cleveland Road, South Bend. Donations in memory of Jack may be made to the Community Congregational Church.
