Alice Cabrini

Mishawaka - Services for Mrs. Alice Cabrini, 85, of 545 W. 12th, who died at 11:15 a.m. Wednesday in Countryside Place nursing home, after a lengthy illness, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Joseph Catholic Church. Rev. Kenneth Sarrazine, pastor, will officiate, and burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

 

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today, and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in Hahn’s DeVos Funeral Home where a wake service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

 

Mrs. Cabrini was born on Dec. 1, 1897 in Carpaneto, Italy, and lived here for 60 years, coming from Italy. On Dec. 15, 1921, as Alice Lombardelli, in Carpaneto, she married Celeste Cabrini. He died on April 7, 1960.

 

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. William (Lena) Lyvers and Mrs. Thomas (Rita) Weisweaver, both of Mishawaka, a brother Pietro Lombardelli on Italy; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and eight step-grandchildren.

 

She was a member of St. Bavo’s Catholic Church.
