Theresa Marie Buwa

Theresa Marie Buwa, 77, of Valdosta, Ga., died Wednesday, January 4, 2006, in the Smith Northview Hospital. She was born on September 3, 1928, in Huntington, Indiana, to the late Cornelius and Irene Youngblood Brown. Mrs. Buwa was a Roman Catholic and was very active in the Ladies Auxiliary with Moose Heart in Indiana. She was a very charitable person.

 

Mrs. Buwa was a former resident of Mishawaka, Indiana, and resided at 914 W. 6th Street in Mishawaka. Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Michael and Judy Buwa of Valdosta and Timothy Buwa of Mishawaka, Indiana; three grandchildren, Jason Buwa, Theresa Buwa and John Buwa, all of Valdosta; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Carl and Cathy Brown and Bob Brown, all of Huntington, Indiana; a sister and brother-in-law, Lucy and Frank Prunk of Denver, Colo.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Charles Buwa; three brothers, Donnie Brown, Ed Brown and Richard Brown; and two sisters, Rosemary McGinnis and Mary Aufdenkampe.

 

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, January 8, 2006, in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home, Valdosta, Ga., with Father John O'Brien of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church officiating. Graveside committal of her cremains was held at 10 a.m., Thursday, January 19, 2006, at the Sunset Hill Cemetery.
