James E. Buwa
March 27, 1928 - Feb. 10, 1995
MISHAWAKA - James E. Buwa, 66, of
Ellen Avenue, died at 4:20 p.m. Friday in St. Joseph's Medical
Center, South Bend, after an illness. Mr. Buwa was employed at
Bonnie Doon for 45 years. He was born March 27, 1928, in Pulaski
and lived here most of his life.
On Sept. 15, 1945, in Mishawaka, he married
Dorothy L. Reygaert. She died Jan. 24, 1994. Surviving are
a daughter, Beverly A. Conard of Mishawaka; three
granddaughters; five great-granddaughters; and three brothers,
Robert and John C. ''Chuck,'' both of Mishawaka, and Ronald of
South Bend. He was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church and
Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 1262, where he was a 40-year member
and earned his Pilgrim degree.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the
church. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in
Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home, where a wake service will be at
6:30 p.m. Monday. Memorial contributions may be made to Moose
Lodge 1262.
