SOUTH BEND - William Joseph Burns,
92, formerly of Marian Hill, died at 3 p.m. Wednesday in
Healthwin Hospital and Nursing Home. Mr. Burns retired as a food
broker in Cincinnati.
He was born Aug. 30, 1902, in Cincinnati and
had lived in South Bend since 1978. On June 22, 1924, in
Cincinnati, he married Alice G. Miller. She died in 1979.
He is survived by a daughter, Patricia Crosson of South
Bend; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was an
active member of the Democratic Central Committee.
Services will be Monday in St. William's
Catholic Church, Cincinnati. Burial will be in St. Joseph
Cemetery, Cincinnati. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. today in
Welsheimer Funeral Home, 17033 Cleveland Road.
