SOUTH BEND - Pauline E. Burmeister, 83, of 1846 E. Fox St., died at 10 p.m. Saturday in her home. Mrs. Burmeister was a former secretary for Zion United Church of Christ for 26 years. She was born May 14, 1912, in Mishawaka.
On Sept. 12, 1937, in South Bend, as Pauline Griesinger, she married Harry E. Burmeister. He died April 21, 1966. She is survived by a daughter, Katherine D. Effrain of South Bend; a grandson, Donald Effrain Jr. of South Bend; and a brother, Gordon W. Greisinger of South Bend. She was a member of Zion United Church of Christ.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the church. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Hollis-Orvis-Palmer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
