Geneva F. Burks, 69, of Lynn Street, Mishawaka, Ind., formerly of Normandy Drive, Mishawaka, passed away at 2 a.m. Monday, July 30, in Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, South Bend. Geneva was born on April 22, 1932, in Arkansas, to Alvin and Maude (Sharp) White, who both preceded her in death.

On March 5, 1946, in Marked Tree, Ark., Geneva married William M. Burks. He preceded her in death on Oct. 6, 1999. Geneva leaves to cherish her memories her sons, Gary (Dawn) Burks of South Bend and Keith (Jamie) Burks of Osceola, Ind.; daughters, Barbara (Elmer) Rice of Mishawaka, Linda (Arthur) Beauprez of Apache Junction, Ariz., and C. Sharon (Herb) Tebo of Mishawaka; brothers, Ruben (Helen) White of Elkhart, Ind., Gaylon (Sue) White of Phoenix, Ariz.; a sister, Evelyn Eoff of Harrison, Ark.; and by 13 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Geneva was retired from RACO in 1984.

Friends may visit from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday in the Chapel Hill Funeral Home, Osceola. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Chapel Hill Funeral Home. Pastor Ed Vegh will be officiating. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Memorial donations may be made to the National Kidney Association.
