MISHAWAKA - Helen M. Burke, 79, of Mishawaka, IN, passed
away at 12:28 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, 2008, in the Saint Joseph
Regional Medical Center, South Bend. Helen was born on March 22,
1928, in Edwardsburg, MI, to Asher and Lola (Hall) Linderman.
Helen retired in 1989 from St. Joseph Community Hospital after 34
years of service working in the linen department.
On March 22, 1947, as Helen M. Linderman,
she married Alfred R. Burke. Alfred preceded Helen in death on
September 10, 2000. Helen is survived by her daughters, Linda
(Robert) Johnson and Dianna Burke, both of Mishawaka; one
grandson, Brian Johnson of Mishawaka; one sister, Mary Rider of
Mishawaka; one stepsister, Pansey (Paul) Middleton of
Plymouth, IN; three sisters-in-law, Mary Wyatt of
Hesperia, CA, Betty Burke of South Bend, IN, and Velma Morin
of Mishawaka.
Family and friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m.
on Wednesday, Feb. 27, in the Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 N. Main
