Sister Mary Rosebia CSC, 76, of Saint Mary’s Convent, died at 10:30 p.m. Monday at the convent after a lengthy illness. She was born Josephine Bunzell on March 16, 1905 in LaSalle, Ill., and entered the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross on Dec. 31, 1928. She was received as a novice on Aug. 15, 1929, and made her profession of vows on Aug. 15, 1931. Throughout her community life, she was assigned to teaching business in secondary schools of the congregation. Her assignments included the former St. Mary’s Academy in South Bend, as well as schools in Logansport and Morris, Ill. From 1971 to 1981 she resided at Holy Cross Convent. She remained there until the time of her illness, went she came to St. Mary’s Convent. Survivors include a sister, Sister M. Millicent CSC, of Our Lady of Holy Cross Convent, South Bend.

 

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Our Lady of Loretto Church with burial in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, on the campus. Friends may call until time of services at the convent parlors, where a wake will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
