SOUTH BEND - June L. Bucher, 68, of Travers Circle, Mishawaka, formerly of Cape Cod Lane, died at 11:40 p.m. Sunday in St. Joseph's Medical Center. Mrs. Bucher was co-owner of the former Bucher's Appliance Co. She was born June 30, 1927, in South Bend.
On Feb. 8, 1947, in South Bend, as June Knapp, she married George W. Bucher Jr. He died May 7, 1976. She is survived by three daughters, Cynthia L. Amos of Mishawaka, Debra B. Walton of Edon, Ohio, and Charmaine L. Wooldridge of South Bend; two sons, Howard C. of South Bend and Robert G. of Demotte; 14 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a brother, James Knapp of South Bend. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Daughters of the American Revolution, Progress Club and Ladies of the Elks.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St. Burial will be in Southlawn Cemetery. Friends may call after 10 a.m. until services Wednesday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to National Multiple Sclerosis Society or American Diabetes Association.
