PATRICIA M. BISHOP

March 10, 1954 - August 16, 2003

 

Patricia M. (KOBOLD) Bishop, 49 or Bow Court, South Bend, Ind. passed away from complication from heart surgery at 9:50 a.m. Saturday, August 16 in Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, South Bend.

 

Patricia was born on March 10, 1954, in South Bend, and was a lifetime resident of the Michiana area. She was a homemaker for 20 years, and prior to becoming ill was employed as a medical supplies distributor by the Suburban-Ostomy Corporation.

 

Patricia is survived by a daughter, Amanda J. BISHOP of LaPorte, Ind.; and a son, Josh J. (Jennifer) Bishop of South Bend. She always referred to her children as "Darling Daughter and her Little Boy".  She is also survived by her three grandsons, Richard, Patrick and Nicholas Bishop, who she loved and cherished; two sisters, Linda (Charlie) QUALLS of Elkhart, Ind. and Shirley D. SOBECKI of South Bend; a brother, Otho "Butch" (Dolly) QUALLS of Elkhart; and by her companion, Tony JACKSON of South Bend.

 

Patricia was a warm, caring person who was always making sure her family came first. She always showed the deepest of love toward her children & grandchildren.  She was a Little League coach for the Warren Township Little League, and was a 1972 graduate of Penn High School.  She loved fishing & country music.

 

Visitation hours will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today August 19, in the Hanley & Sons Southwest Chapel Funeral Home, located at West Ireland Road/Indiana 23, South Bend.

 

Funeral services will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday August 20 in the funeral home, with Rev. Karl A. BRENNER officiating. Burial will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola, Indiana.
