 Albert Birner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wolf Birner, died of comsumption at 4:45 o’clock this morning at the home of his sister, Mrs. I.L. Calvert, 1245 West Washington stree. He was born Sept. 17, 1867, in South Bend. At the age of 17 he entered the employ of Mr. James Oliver, with whom he continued until failing health obliged him to retire. About two and a half years ago he went to San Francisco, Cal., in the hope of recovering his failing health, but growing worse, he spent a year in the mountains and last winter in Texas. He returned to South Bend last spring and his health gradually failed until the end came this morning. On Jun 8, 1892, he was married to Miss. Clara Peffley. To this union there was born a one daughter.  In 1884 he became a member of Milburn Memorial M.E. chapel, of which he was a communicant at the time of his death. He leaves a wife, a little daughter, a father and mother, one brother and three sisters. The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the home of Mr. and Mrs. I.L. Calvert, 1245 West Washington street. Rev. S.W. Goss, pastor of Milburn chapel, officiating, assisted by rev. Mr. Goffeny, of Zion Evangelical church. The interment will be in the city cemetery.
