Mrs. Stella
Bieganski, 84, of South Bend, died at 5:45am today in St Joseph’s
Medical Center, after a brief illness.
She was born on April
26, 1898, in Poland and lived in the South Bend area most of her
adult life. In September 1921, in Poland, she married
Ignatius Bieganski, who died in 1966. Surviving are two
daughters, Mrs. Adeline Darnell of Niles and Mrs. Gladys Wrobel
of South Bend; a son, Joe of Mishawaka; 16 grandchildren; and 11
great grandchildren.
Services will be
at 10am Friday in St Adalbert’s Catholic Church with Rev.
Eugene J. Kazmierczak, pastor, officiating. Burial will be
in St Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9pm
Thursday in the St Joseph Funeral Home, where the rosary will be
recited at 7:30pm. She was a member of the Rosary Sodality
of the church, the Legion of Mary, and Polish National Alliance.
