Marie Edna Bickel, 80, of 1900 S. 21st St., Niles, died at 1 p.m. in the Dowigac Nursing Home, after an extended illness. She was a dietitian, retired from St. Mary’s College.
Born July 16, 1904, in Mishawaka, she lived in this area for 46 years. In July 1960, in Chicago, she married William J. Bickel, who survives with a son, Richard of South Bend; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Mildred Hahn of Niles and Miss Baugher of Florida.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Christ the King Catholic Church. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in the Welsheimer North Chapel, where a prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. today in the funeral home.
