Arthur Beyer

Arthur Beyer, 78, of New Buffalo, Mich., died at 5:35 p.m. Monday, Aug. 4, at his home after a four-year illness.

Mr. Beyer was born July 27, 1919, in South Bend, the son of Arthur Henry and Donna E. Coikenhour Beyer.

On Sept. 14, 1944, in Mishawaka, Ind., he married Geraldine Barnum, who survives. Also surviving are grandchildren, Arthur Douglas Beyer and Jerry Barnum Beyer. Mr. Beyer was an accountant with 36 years of service at the South Shore Railroad. He was a U.S. Army veteran.

The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Carlisle Funeral Home with Rev. James Andrews officiating. Burial will be in Swan Lake Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 10 to 1 p.m. Thursday in the Carlisle Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Chicago Children's Memorial Hospital.
