Irvin J. Beutter

June 21, 1922 – April 7, 1993

Irvin J. “Kelly” Beutter, 70, of Sussex Drive, died at 4:25pm Wednesday in his home after an illness.  Mr. Beutter retired from O’Brien Corp in shipping and handling after 41 years of service.

He was born June 21, 1922, in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident.  On September 1, 1951, in South Bend, he married Caroline Madar.  She survives with two daughters, Sharon Scott and Sandy Wasoski, both of South Bend; a son, Michael of South Bend; five grandchildren; a step grandchild; two half sisters, Mary Allinson and Shirley Carroll, both of California; a brother, Richard of California; and two half brothers, George and Gary Allinson, both of California.  He was a member of ST John the Baptist Catholic Church and Ushers Club, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 624, Roseland, Eagles Lodge 435 and was a veteran of WW II.

Friends may call from 2 to 9pm Sunday in Kaniewski & Sons Funeral Home, where a rosary will be said at 5pm by the Ushers Club and a parish vigil service will be at 7:30pm.  Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
