Agnes M. Berlakovich, 74, of
Berkshire Drive, South Bend, Ind., passed away on Saturday, July
31 in Memorial Hospital. Agnes was born on May 26, 1925, in South
Bend, to John and Kathryn (Yandl) Horwarth.
On May 3, 1947, she married Frank J.
Berlakovich. Agnes worked in retail clothing sales for many
years. She was a volunteer at St. Paul's Retirement Center and a
member of Our Lady of Hungary Catholic Church. She is survived by
her husband of 52 years, Frank Berlakovich; two sons, George J.
(Yvonne) Berlakovich of Granger, Ind. and Frank J., Jr. (Carolyn)
of Argyle, Texas; a daughter, Mary Kathryn (Roger) Banner of
Indianapolis, Ind.; seven grandchildren, Jeffrey, Cynthia, Brian,
Jessica, John, Joel and Linda; two brothers, Leo Horwarth of
Mishawaka and John Horwarth of Battle Creek, Mich.; and by three
sisters, Josephine Horwarth, Kathryn Horwarth and Annalouise Elek,
all of South Bend.
Family and friends may call from 3 to 5 and
7 to 8:30 p.m. today in the Forest G. Hay Funeral Home. Services
will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday in Our Lady of Hungary
Catholic Church, with burial following at Highland Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made on behalf of Agnes Berlakovich
to Our Lady of Hungary Catholic Church. Forest G. Hay Funeral
Home is handling arrangements.
