Karl O.
Berkheiser, 53, of 726 S 33rd St., was dead on arrival
at Osteopathic Hospital at 6:45am today after suffering a heart
attack in his home. He was born in Bremen on April 5, 1913,
residing in the area his lifetime. Mr. Berkheiser married
Helen Williams in South Bend in 1940. She survives along
with a son, Michael, of Mishawaka, a daughter, Mrs. Susann
Wantuch, of South Bend; two grandchildren and a brother, Robert,
of South Bend.
Friends may call
from 7pm today until 11am Saturday at the Hollis Funeral Home.
Services will be at 1:30pm Saturday, in the Lutheran Church of
Our Redeemer, where visitors will be received an hour before the
service. Rev. Edmund Peters, pastor, will officiate an
interment will be in Highland Cemetery. He was a member of
the church and an employee of Thompson Machine Shop, Mishawaka
