April 20, 1918 – August 4, 1987
William A.
Berger, 69, of 53130 Bower Crest Court, died at 8:30pm Tuesday in
his home after an illness. Mr. Berger retired form Kreamo
Bakery in 1980 after 20 years of service and was a former
employee of Reliable Dairy.
He was born April
20, 1918, in South Bend. On November 21, 1940, in Angola
IN, he married Margaret F. Morse, who survives. Also
surviving are a daughter, Kathleen A. Cartwright, of South Bend;
a son, Michael W. of Goshen; two grandchildren; a sister, Sara
Bartlett, of Bethel Park PA; and two brothers, Bruce H of Granger
and James R of Jacksonville FL
Services will be
at 11am Friday at Welsheimer Funeral Home North, 17033 Cleveland
Road. Burial will be at St Joseph Valley Memorial Park,
Granger. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm Thursday
in the funeral home.
He was a member of American Legion Post 303 and St Joseph
Lodge 45 F & AM, and was a veteran of WW II. Memorial
contributions may be made to the National Parkinson’s
Foundation.
