Benjamin B. Berg,
91, of 1138 N. Huey St., died at 12:30am today in Memorial Hospital
after a four day illness.
He was born on July
10, 1881, in Noblesville IN, and had lived here 64 years, coming
from Michigan City. On June 12, 1907, in Lafayette, he
married Mabel Russell, who survives, along with a son, Russell W.
of South Bend; a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Daubenspeck of
Noblesville and a brother, Walter of Tucson AZ.
Friends may call
from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm Tuesday in the Forest G. Hay and Son
Funeral Home, 1201 S. Michigan St, where services will be
conducted at 3pmWednesday by Rev. Jasper H. Cox, associate pastor
of the First United Methodist Church.
The hand speech interpreter will be Mrs.
Alvina Carpenter. Burial will be in St Joseph Valley Memorial
Park. Mr. Berg retired in 1952 from the Studebaker Corp.
