SOUTH BEND - Richard F. Bentzler, 60,
of Pear Road, died early Tuesday morning in his home of an
apparent heart attack. Mr. Bentzler was a machine operator
employed by RACO Inc. for 31 years. He was born Dec. 30, 1934, in
Mishawaka.
On May 2, 1964, in South Bend, he married
Shirley Ann Wlodarski. She survives with a daughter,
Caroline T. Scheck of South Bend; a son, Ted J. of New
Carlisle; three grandchildren; and two brothers, Robert of
Freeport, La., and John A. Jr. of Dowagiac. He was a member of
Moose Lodge 58, Holy Family Catholic Church and a veteran of the
Army.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the
church. Entombment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may
call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Kaniewski Funeral
Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, where the parish rosary will be said
at 7 p.m.
