SOUTH BEND - Lucille Marie Benson, 91, passed away on
Wednesday, November 5th, in Regency Place, South Bend. Lucille
was born on September 20, 1917, in Joliet, IL, to Matthew and
Mary (Herbst) Jugenitz. She was preceded in death by her
parents, and two sisters, Emily Jugenitz and Pearl Miller.
On November 15, 1941, in Joliet, IL, as the former Lucille
Jugenitz she married, Arnold George Benson. Surviving are her
loving husband of almost 67 years, Arnold; three children, James
Arnold Benson of White Pigeon, MI, Janice May (Donald) Kochevar
of Joliet, IL, and Jeanne Marie (James) Ward of Granger; a
sister, Audrey Batson of Elwood, IL; and a brother, George
Jugenitz, Sun City West, AZ. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren,
James Benson of Clermont, FL, Charles Shing Benson of Chula
Vista, CA, Lee Benson of Chula Vista, CA, Arnold Benson of
Portland, OR, Raymond Kochevar of Elwood, IL, Rita Yankey
of Joliet, IL, Steven Kochevar of Denver, CO, Patrick Ward of
Prosper, TX, Mary Price of Indianapolis, IN, Michael Ward
of Naples, FL, and Brian Ward of Los Angeles, CA; 10
great-grandchildren, Brandon Benson, Raymond Kochevar, Joseph
Kochevar, Allyson Kochevar, Benjamin Kochevar, Elizabeth Ward,
Jonathon Ward, Eleanor Ward, Kayla Ward and Riley Price.
Family and friends may call Saturday, November 8th, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street Mishawaka. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. in St. Matthew Cathedral, South Bend, with The Rev. Michael Heintz officiating. Burial will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
