SOUTH BEND - Victor F. Benassi, 87, of Lake Wales, Fla., formerly of South Bend, died Dec. 28 in Winter Haven (Fla.) Hospital.

Mr. Benassi retired from Bendix Corp. after 30 years of service. He was born March 3, 1906, in South Wilmington, Ill., and moved to Florida 22 years ago, going there from South Bend. He is survived by his wife, Mary I. (Smith) Benassi of Lake Wales; a daughter, Margaret A. May of Lake Wales; a son, Richard V. of Sarasota, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Geno of South Bend. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Graveside services and burial were Dec. 31 in Forest Hill Cemetery, Haines City, Fla. Lane-Holt Funeral Home, Haines City, handled the arrangements.
